FSA may reimburse you for doula expences; simply submit a reciept for doula services following your provider's established reimbursement process.
Insurance Reimbursement
Several insurance providers cover the cost of doula services. To request reimbursement:
Pay your doula in full
Complete the following letter:
BWNH letter to insurance provider
OB-Midwife letter to insurance provider
Mail or fax the following to your insurance provider:
BWNH letter to insurance provider
OB-Midwife letter to insurance provider
BWNH invoice/statement
ToLabor(ALACE) Position paper on labor support
Letter stating why you felt a doula was beneficial to you (OPTIONAL)
You may receive a letter from your provider denying your claim. In that care, resubmit the information for a secondary review and cc the CEO with an explanation of why you feel doula care should be a covered expense.
